phone not functioning correctly
« on: March 31, 2017, 10:49:28 pm »
awhile back my phone lg41c got a virus since then it doesn't boot up it boots in a loop every once in awhile it will boot up if its left without a battery for an extended period of time I have factory reset it and full factory restored the device it keeps having the same issue on boot up the only clue I could see that might have something to do with the issue is www.w3.prg/1999/02/22 on a file I believe to be infected theres like a hundred of those files using es file browser to look inside the phones folders most of the files I seen using text editor reveals symbols to me much like a virus to lock down the device. google hasn't offered much help has anyone encountered such a problem and resolved it?

What actions did you do to it before if any?

If the phone has an SD card, what you can do is remove that, and then everything is on there. that is why I always store the stuff I have for photos and downloads not he SD card so I in case something happens I don't have to deal with it by doing all these difficult methods. If you able to access the internal storage, copy everything you can form there and put it on some type of storage. You might not be able to do this if your phone doesn't boot up far enough. I have only been able to do this a few times.

I would say your best bet is to just contact TracFone for a replacement. They will send you one free of charge.

That's what I did when I bricked my phone creating the LG G3 ROM.

Usually you just tell them the phone isn't working anymore and it just stopped working out of the blue (Even if it did not, still tell them that.) Don't mention that you took it apart or anything.

The first thing they will is for you to hard reset the phone, then if that that doesn't work (Chances are are it wont) They will send a new one to you.

I hope this helps a bit.
