Title: Stock or otherwise rom for SM-120VL (Luna)
Post by: jhansard on May 17, 2017, 10:46:24 pm
Hey folks, I've been searching to no avail for a week to find either a tracfone stock rom or any rom at all that works with SM-120VL Luna.

I found the stock rom for the phone, but not a tracfone version, and the wifi doesn't allow me to connect. It acts like the wifi is nonexistant...

I'd be happy if I can get anything to run on it. I dont even care if I can use the phone features as long as I can get online. Anyone know of a rom that will work?? Please and thanks,

Josh

Sadly there is no such thing yet, I recommend using the boot loader to restore the phone (If there is any)

Other then that there is nothing that can be done.

Thanks for the reply! I missed it somehow until now. I'm curious: are there any roms I may try out with the phone or do I have to have the exact tracfone specific rom for the phone? I don't really need the phone to be online with tracphone, I would be fine using wifi.

Thanks!

I don't currently know of any ROMs that have been tested and work for the phone, but you might be able to port some if you get the right tool to do so.

I recommend looking at other pre-paid providers like MetroPCS and Cricket for phones like yours, with the same processor and same look (Not counting colors). I would do so myself but I don't know much about today's Samsung lineup. If you find one let me know, and I can look into it and determine if it will work or not, or even port it if I get time.

The processes will mostly be trial and error.
