Title: New stuff for this model?
Post by: rm571 on July 01, 2015, 07:07:32 am
Man it would be great if you guys could come with some ROM's for this phone. One of my daughters has this phone and she loves it. I rooted it for her, linked it, partitioned it so she could download games. She is always asking me about new changes for her phone. Thanks youall.

You can be sure there will be a ROM here sometime in the next 3 weeks. Once I get my PC up and running again it will be easy to get the stock ROM but the updater-script in the META-INF folder will be the hardest part. Once I get that ready then I will make a deodexed debloated rom for it.

Anything you can do to make this sad little phone functional would be a great service!

Can you find a way to kill the battery-sapping Bluetooth service???  Turning it OFF does NOT turn it off.

I guess you could just delete the blue tooth apk file in the system. Or you could force stop it.

Honestly I wouldn't delete any system files period, every time I tried I bootlooped/bricked the device.

I even had a custom recovery installed (Daishi4u's TWRP from androidarea51.com), somehow the phone rewrote it back to stock.. I dunno, I'm certain I had it installed, I accessed it once and then wasn't able to ever again. LG locked this phone down super tight, unless you can sneak in through a solid custom recovery you shouldn't mess with anything in the stock rom.

OP, try downloading f-droid (from fdroid.org (also assuming you have root)) and use AFwall+ app, it acts as a firewall for all wifi communications. You can block bluetooth from making any connections with it. Super handy app, it uses the native Android firewall so it works %100 :)

edit: checked my battery stats, even with afwall bluetooth is sipping %6 of my battery since yesterday.. *shrug*

Also, would be super rad to see a recovery + rom for this phone :) just something to get away from the proprietary software hogging all the RAM. This phone would be a the perfect android burner if it had more RAM available.

If I get just the right amount of time I will build a ROM for it.
