Title: moto E condor
Post by: rm571 on July 01, 2015, 07:35:04 am
Does anyone know how to unlock this phone? I went through Motorola's web site but it said it could not be unlocked. Then I actually found the code to unlock it but it would still not unlock. By the way the second set of numbers between the # is the unlocking code for this phone. But i still could not get it unlocked. I called Tracfone and one person told me if I activate it for a year I could get it unlocked. Then another Rep. said it could not be unlocked. Great phone fast, plenty of room for apps, small print though. And has 4 extra pics in device you can put on gallery(can't pull out that extra animation w/o root though). Hey Varela89 found yur pic. There may be a way to unlock the E by installing a ROM from a different varriant of the phone. I am not sure about that tho. I have never unlocked a TracFone before so it's just a guess. Many there is some third party software that does that.

Bootloader unlock and or carrier. The phone won't root.

Well we need to root before carrier unlocking. Motorola has a page on their site to unlock there phones.

Oh. Well if there is a bootloader mode boot into it and flash a international version of the Moto E software. Then it should be unlocked. I am no expert on it because I only have one Moto phone: Droid X. I think you will have to wait a year till you can unlock it.
