Title: LG Optimus Fuel mini-review
Post by: Matt on October 12, 2015, 10:17:31 am
So I bricked my Ultimate 2 and got an iPod Touch 6 and a refurbished Optimus Fuel for $10. It is a decent phone, great for $10, however the screen is very small compared to other options, and it is very low powered. I would not recommend this phone as a smartphone, however it is excellent for just calling and texting, along with a couple of apps.

I love the fuel, personally I can't stand screens larger than 4". If I can't swipe down the status bar with one hand the phone is just too big. I really like phones with a smaller form-factor, they use less battery and are actually sturdier since larger screens are more prone to cracking. You can always get them cheaper as well. I just wish the Fuel had more RAM.

Also, if you compare the display of the Fuel and the Ultimate 2 you'll notice, the display on the 4.5" Ultimate is simply magnified. It shows about 20% more content than the 3.5" Fuel.. kinda makes it a moot point to me.

Not to poopoo your review but personally I really like the Fuel, the dual-core processor really makes the phone snappy. LG did a pretty good job with the stock rom too. I had a ZTE Valet and the Fuel blows it out of the water. Any smartphone these days needs a dual-core processor, single core phones are just plain laggy, period.

I agree on the screen, but I personally cannot stand LG's interface. However I absolutely hate the ZTE Valet. I lost mine somewhere in my house and I hope I never see it again  :D
