Title: A big thanks.
Post by: uleep on January 20, 2016, 06:01:55 pm
I just wish to thank the group here for the roms. Without them my lg l41c would still be a soft brick. I got her stuck in a boot loop I think. It was in the lgwizardhas stopped etc. loop. I made the mistake of a factory reset and had no way to recover the rom as it of course deleted all data and well you know what happens. Anyway thanks alot. If my expiience can help someone else let me know and ill explain how i got passed the boot lock or whatever it was. Once again thank you.

Can you explain what the boot lock is? Is it a secure boot error?

No sorry I cant. being very new to this I am not even sure what to call what happened. I called it a soft brick/boot lock because it is as close as i could come to describing it from all i could gather from reading online. the phone would power on, and start through the setup process then it would reach the part of the setup asking for your phone name and number to call if it gets lost and the wizard would crash. you click ok and it goes back to the begining only to stop again and again. finaly I happened on a thread that told me i could access the android system by grabbing the staus bar at the top of the phone and drop down the notifications and qslide apps ,hold down one of the system icons, I used the sound, and it would enter the android phone settings, and from there you could activate the usb debugging and developers tools. The next step was to reroot the device, download and install twrp recovery and the rest was history. I hope this gives some clarification.

I did the same thing like 4 months ago. I thought I was bricked so I ordered a replacement package. 3 days later I actually bricked it and I got the package haha

Just an additional note and big thanks once again to the developers of the rom. I didnt know that I didn't need to run the lgsetupwizard to actually use the phone again. HeHE, took me 2 weeks to get up enough courage to re3set the number to the rebooted reromed lg phone. Wanted you all to know it worked perfectly. I am now using the original lgl41c. Many thanks again for your support and help.
