LG Sunset / Stock ROM?
« on: October 17, 2016, 08:05:33 pm »

Like I mentioned in the tester thread, I wound up with one of these that's McAfee-locked.  I'd much rather deal with Google's FRP, but alas, hard-reset is disabled too.  So hell with it, maybe flashing it would work... but I can't seem to find a stock ROM.  Does it exist?

Late to the party, but got one of these recently that's hopelessly McAfee-locked, so I'm willing to volunteer it for whatever.  (Unless someone knows a bypass for the McAfee crap - can't even hard-reset and deal with the Google FRP because McAfee disables the hard reset option altogether.  And no, I didn't steal it.)

Bricked Phone Support / LG L15G / Sunrise brick help
« on: September 13, 2016, 01:45:01 am »

Hi everyone, cool to see this TF-specific forum - I'll jump right in like an idiot and ask about this stupid, cheap little brick I've had sitting around forever.  I haven't the slightest idea what "happened" to this phone, it just kinda showed up around the house a while back, but it's stuck at the familiar LG/Android screen and never goes further.  I can boot to recovery, choose the factory reset option which looks like it's proceeding as it should, but once it finishes and reboots we're still stuck on the same splash screen all over again.

Anyway, I know it's not really a phone that's even worth messing with, but I'm sure it's fixable so it bugs me.  Is there a flashable stock ROM available at all?  How 'bout a "close-enough-to-work-probably" ROM from another phone?  Or maybe just some simple way to just fix this issue without the hassle of flashing anything at all? Incidentally, it looks like the full model number on mine is "GPLGL15GB" - not sure what, if anything, the "B" represents but I've noticed most references online only refer to "L15G" without the B.

Thanks guys, I suspect I'll have more dumb questions for ya in the future!
