Bricked Phone Support / Re: LG Ultimate 2 (L41C) Bricked
« on: October 16, 2017, 01:39:39 pm »
And, for the guy who requested a TOT file or the LG Ultimate2,   a lot of wishful thinking going on there.  I don't think that LG ever created one and, no use asking Tracfone what a TOT file is.  Their upper echelon of Tech Support won't know what a TOT file is or, what it does.  Only Mr. Cunningham and myself have the slightest awareness of what it is. At one point, thought that it would be easy to acquire.  You learn a lot of stuff about how Tracfone carries itself and, how disappointing they are.  However, talk for another time.

LG Ultimate 2 / com.android.keyguard has stopped
« on: June 22, 2017, 09:39:44 am »
Good morning.  An interesting issue has arisen -  Keyguard has stopped.  It's intermittent, happens roughly once in every five reboots. And, when it does, it totally disables the U2.  Seems to be a Lockscreen related issue and, only in Landscape mode where it'll take apprx. 40% of the right side of the display and black it out with certain wallpapers. So far, the easiest solution is to use the Complete Keyguard Disabler module that the good folks at Xposed offer.  Works in a rough, raggedy type of way, but, no complaints.  Ryan, you must've seen this glitch in your Development of the U2.  Fone is happily using the UltaLolli 2.1 offered up by Dodson.  This ROM is as smooth as a baby's tush with Talcum Powder applied !  Wondering what to do besides reflash the ROM and rebuild it.  Seems to be a moderately serious kinda glitch that I'd rather not have. Any slick, quick ideas from the Admin ?

Oh, Damn !   You've got a Hard Brick on your hands.  Something that even Ryan (or, myself )  would probably fail attempting to Disable the Kill Switch.  One of the more difficult ways of totally Unlocking this Sunset is being done by something called an  Octopus Box  which, is very similar to a method of reprogramming stuff called  JTAGging.  I'm VERY familar with doing JTAG and,  I would bet serious money that the Admin at the site I'm a part of WOULD be able to connect his JTAG and, write Code to totally UNLOCK every Lock that LG has put into place  ( even the BootLoader which has defeated me for several months ) .  However, this is the equivalent of Frankensteining your Sunset and, doesn't come cheap.  However, there ARE a few magic tricks I might be able to pony up before anything like that becomes necessary . I'm at the point where I actually enjoy restoring Hard Bricks back to normal for ****/giggles.  If ya wanna send it to me, let me know and, I'll give ya my Email Address and, will explain a little further what's up.  You CAN ship that badboy to Phila PA  or less than  $5 bucks.  I'll do it on the cheaps  ( 40 - 50  bucks ) .  This IS a **** Brick.  But, I'm fairly good at what I can do. let me know at your nearest convenience. Goodday .

Hey, SuperFreak !  My handle here is Killswitch and no, I didn't disable your Sunset !   Just wanted to make that perfectly clear.  I'm currently Developing the LG Destiny which is the big brother GSM version of your CDMA (Verizon)  version and, as a Rocket Scientist, there's no optimistic overtones going to be offered by myself.  This seems to be a McAfee Security issue and, I do NOT see eye/eye with McAfee on ANY level. It's my understanding that you won't be able to do a simple Hard Reset on this fone but, you can try it anyway.  Turn fone off.  Push and HOLD the lower Volume button while you push the Power button ON and release it until you hear it vibrate or see the LG Logo screen. Then, push and hold the Power button again until you reach a Factory Data Reset screen.  Use the Volume buttons for  YES twice and, with any luck, it'll Factory Reset your Sunset and wipe the fone back to complete Stock.  Maybe Ryan ( the Admin)  hasw a zippedy-doo-dah answer but, I foresee a MAJOR problem here that will require you to be the proven Owner of the Sunset and, you'll need to interface directly with McAfee on this one. This is what you get with Tracfone.  Rocket Science.  But, I don't know spit about this issue and, I would encourage Ryan to step in and lend his level of expertise. He's a little more savvy than even myself. In the meantime, search for answers in the direction of McAfee Security.  Oh, my Gawd !  That's NOT good !  But, in the meantime, have a goodday from Phila PA.

Recovery Building / Caution using XDA
« on: April 02, 2017, 01:09:37 pm »
Here's part of the reason why I give a big  " thumbs down "  to XDA.  Some members of their so-called " team "  are nothing more than adventurous guys that will post their names to projects that will and do crash and burn WITHOUT the element of User Error being present.  And, Dees Troy will probably give them his  " back " . Damn !   There's a guy ( name is suraj B )  that would tell you that, if you have a Qualcomm MSM8916  and, a TWRP with the same specs ( Leon )  you will be able to Port it over to your similar device.  On this one, User Error will be almost universal but, he'll stand his ground and say that he achieved success doing it his way.  Ryan, I'm well aware that Devs are latter-day Magicians but, you won't be pulling a Rabbit from the Hat on this one.  Everybody at that post has failed unceremoniously.  Jesus - that guy Dodson crashed on this one. I consider him Top Drawer and, he crashed/burned .  Jesus -  the MountPoints are different.  But, a few of these XDA boys will leave the particulars up to the User and, in the meantime,  the vacuum still exists.  Never heard of the Android Image Kitchen before this.   This is some incredibly barbaric stuff filtering down here. I would advise peeps to use caution when going to XDA .

Recovery Building / Re: how to build TWRP for LG Destiny

Interesting.  If you substitute the  aboot, bin of the  T Mobile Unlocked  Leon partition for the  Destiny's  aboot.bin,  you'll have a guaranteed HARD  brick on your hands.  This is really, truly absurd.  This is mostly because  Android 5.0.1  IS  a Security cesspool beyond quicksand.  Is this language a little too vague for ya ?  Don't understand why -  got it from my time at Temple Univ. here in Phila PA .  You're not the only one who's been a Moderator  . And, if y'all consider that, as you would call it,  Trolling,  then yea, consider me one of those cute little guys.  Did ya know about the  Rlz Debug UI before I turned ya on to it ?  Hey, thanx for all of your brilliant ( accurate word )  contributions on the U2. I figure that I would kick you back with a few trinkets. But, if ya wanna drop me off the list,  I'll head back to  USBJTAG  with a smile.  Makes no nevermind by me. Got nothing to prove.

Here's one answer for ya -  please feel free at any time to BAN me.  For God's sake, you have nobody here taking the lead, so I'll set the tone until then.  Here's the Book on this one.  To get OEM unlock and unlock the BL,  you M-U-S-T  upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1 and then do the LG Flash Tool/ KDZ file  routine .   No amount of  DD commands nor Flashify will turn the trick here. Even then, I've got my doubts but, was told that if you use the T-Mobile Unlocked KDZ,  it WILL overwrite what was previously there. And, yes, I DID pay what might be the highest level of CET's that I know of in Philly and, paid him  $100 for this  " opinion "  .  And, once again, I'll need Testers at, which point. nobody here ( including myself )  will get near the LG Flash Tool .  This IS a dead issue -  guaranteed that no one  ( including yourself )  will get near this one.  Right here is the highest order of Tech that I've experienced in a reasonably long lifetime. People will drop like flies here. Have a goodday.

And, at that point, you'll draw some serious laughter. Even from Professionals !  From A toZ,  this will be the single biggest charade I've seen drift past me in several years.  Development like this is, without doubt, more than repacking a  LG Leon TWRP image in a few easy steps.  The XDA Head Developer, Dees Troy, is a JackAss from a long line of Mules. Not even the Third World will get near this one.  You line 100 average peeps against the wall and,  not even one is going to step up accordingly for this one. This is exceedingly funny -  no one's home here.  Got a site with virtually no interaction. Everyone wants to be spoonfed.  And with Tracfone, I'm not surprised at anything spinning past me. This is Dark Side personnified.

Recovery Building / how to build TWRP for LG Destiny
« on: March 06, 2017, 10:47:39 am »
So, Ryan -  sad that this outpost is pretty much evacuated except for yourself, the Moderator.  Well, here's a caqtegory that hasn't been used. Okay, I'll inaugurate it . I wanna recompile an LG Leon c50 TWRP  image to target the Destiny LGL 21G  y50_trf_us  spefically.  And, only peepslike Dodson and yourself are gonna be able to pony up detail going in this particular direction . What will I need to edit besides the BoardConfig. mk  file  ?  Couldn't be much more than that . Even have something called a ' fingerprint "   with a 10 digit number followed by user/release-keys  code.  I wonder if that number itself is capable of unlocking the Bootloader directly.  The Fingerprint has everything relevant connected to it. Build ID  is  LRX21Y .  Android API level  21 . Yadda yadda .  Signing ( bumping )  an IMG file doesn't seem to work with a stock ROM who's Locked tight .  Would prefer to use TWRP 3 ( or above )  to do this . Want it to be 100 % like your IMG for the U2 . Almost flawless !  Would almost like to chat with XDA on this one.  They would giggle and laugh at me . LOL .  Will be needing a little di-rection here . Feel pansified.  Like a Flower Child.

This one's sheer madness.  In Capital letters.  There are Devs that have created  " exploits "  to bypass locked Bootloaders simply for the purpose of installing  TWRP  as their new foundation .  Are ya familiar with  LOKI  ?  Sure, ya are.  I'mcasually wondering if this vulnerability has been patched yet by the people who write Code.  This guy Dan Rosenberg was a f***cking genius !  Renamed the image with a  lok  extension and squeezed it thru the system. DOES work on LG cells ( but, there's a bin file you must add to get it to work )  Ryan, is this how you bypass locked Bootloaders on some LG's ? I've used EVERY conceivable trick with bumped/signed image files and, nothing but Secure Boot errors. I'm now VERY serious about this.  I'll go deep inside myself to fully exploit the LG Destiny 21G just on pride alone. And,  at that point, ya might wanna warn me off.  I've heaqrd that  Loki  actually patches the Kernel and,  if I need to do a Loki  exploit, I'll do it. How many Destiny units will get  Tested  into the ground on this one ?   I will need Testers.  Right there I hit QUICKSAND.  Nobody will wanna sweat the details on this one.

Gotta admit,  this Devs stuff is starting to back up on me.  Actually tried to get the Unlock code from Tracfone ( to see how possible it was)  and, found that there is actually an Unlock Department out in the Philippines dedicated to doing this task since the FCC rulings last year.  If your cell is less than one year on account, these people won't give a stinking inch.  And, yelled back at me louder than myself.  WOMENwere yelling at me !   They must get an awful lot of unhappy clientele who just scream at them.  Getting the Code from the Internjet is a logistical impossibility, be it pay OR free.  Cannot be done !  This LGL 21G  is out in Death Valley for Devs. Nothing there !   This **** is really sick. All to install a TWRP Recovery module that works 100 %   I'll have to probably edit, recompile and repack a LEON file and , I'm getting nauseous.  I DO have all the Destiny Hardware specs and it shows up as a   y50   model . The Leon is, apparently also a  y50  but fits TWRP files as a  c50   model.  LikeI said, this **** would chase 20 of 20 men.  Totally counterproductive.

This is a goddamned comedy routine !  I've been a CET since credentials were first offered for the profession.  I'm Lollipop 5.0.1 and, I've cut down EVERY fence restricting me from putting TWRP on this god forsaken Destiny.  Every goddamned c50 image file will fail once Bumped forward. If TWRP had  a Forum,  I would be peeling the paint off their proverbial walls on this one .  They'll offer a gang of verbal support but, they know the truth better than anyone.  I honestly don't know how even yourself got TWRP for the U2 fully functional.  I've had tons of equipment in the past that I was unable to fix or restore.  For an unsupported LG,  you'll need Design Engineers to recompile the Code for the Leon to pair up to the Destiny. This SHOULD be easy but, wouldn't ya know it ?  It's f***ing impossible  !  I'm going to ass-ume that I've hit the wall. There's no support here anyways save yourself !  People looking to sponge off of your skillset.  Not me - I'm outta here !   Actually had a Tracfone Corporate member try to tell me that, since I'm GSM, that my issue begins/ends with ATT since it's their signal.   Oh, my Gawd ! I've gotta get away from this place.  This place is evil personnified.

Wow-w !  This one's very darksided .  Found out about putting  Bump x64 on your Windows PC and, how to actually Bump image files across a locked Bootloader.  Went and put an ORIGINAL  TWRP 2.8.7.0 _c50.img  into the Bump  folder and, lo and behold, it will send you a  SIGNED version of the original .  Put the signed Disc Image onto a SD card - apprx. 11 MB's . Reloaded the SD card and,  Flashify sees the SD as  Boot.img.img   which means they added an extra extension because the work was done on my PC . This **** would chase anyone !  Flashify won't cooperate with an unknown file extension like img.img .  This is lunatic fringe !  How do you rise above the stuff that is out on the leading edge like this ?   I get this clear impression that first generation Lollipop is security QuickSand .  The work you've done lead to a almost flawless Ultimate2.  Ain'tnuthin that's gonna be antiseptic with this Destiny.  Just wish that there were more Members to escalate Destiny up the ladder.

This one might be an even better secret for how to get past a persistent Tracfone Bootloader.  How does Team Codefire do this magic ?  Must be the Holy Grail of how to successfully bypass the Lock. Ryan, you must've used Bump on a few of your LG projects -  it appears as if Bump is a Tech trick for LG Androids only .  Damn -n !  NOBODY ( including Rocket Scientists ) will go all the way and try to compile a TWRP file specifically for the LG Destiny L21G .  I'm in sheer awe of how you were able to do it with the U2 and get it working par excellence !   It's virtually impossible without a  " think tank "  assisting toward achieving this goal.  Pros here in Philly look at me like I'm homosexual when I tell them what I need to do.  Makes me feel a little bit dirty like I need to shower.  Ryan, you MUST know how to Bump LG files past the Bootloader.  Gotta be one of the best internal secrets I've EVER seen. I understand Codefire went down and is now an afterthought .  My TWRP is flawed - won't Backup nor Restore.  We're way beyond Pro status at this point. This is purely Developmental.

Comes as no surprise as to why there are only a few really heads-up, solid Members here - this is Rocket Science and, we're here in the Cloud, Ryan.  Have you taken time to scan the XDA thread on how to fully compile TWRP specifically for your model ? They tell you in a very low profile kinda way that, if you're not Linux oriented, you're gonna drop like a fly on a flyswatter . I've got Creds out the Yin-Yang but, doing this in a materialistic, productive way you'll need to be on a very good day with Karma shining down on you .  Editing a BoardConfig.mk   file is something I haven't done recently.  Hilarious how XDA makes this one sound easy. Just for ****/giggles, I did try and flash an unBumped, unsigned  TWRP 2.8.7.0  c50. img  ( original )  with Flashify and,  it ganked and gives me a Boot certification verify Error on Bootup that deletes in 2-3 secs .  The Error codes are random and change on every boot. This is a sad testimonial to doing Dev work .  Eventually, you'll have to accept the fact that the LG you're using is, pretty much a Guinea Pig and a better word is  Testing .  You have to accept that the unit will eventually crash and burn.  I do the opposite -  I fix **** to work again.
