I have successfully ported the Samsung Galaxy S3 TouchWiz Launcher to the LG Optimus Dynamic II. It took a bit of effort but in then end we have a working launcher. In my opinion this is a very quick a speedy launcher. In some cases I found it to be faster then the stock LG one. There are some really good features in the launcher so that's why I decided to post it.

Screenshots:

You can download the launcher files here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wcywb7ckznwh22x/TouchWiz-Launcher.zip

Extract the TouchWiz-Launcher.zip to any place where you can find it. Then from the zip place the SecLauncher2.apk in the /system/app/ folder of your device using root browser. Now I will explain to you how to set root permissions to allow the Launcher to run correctly. Tap and hold on the SecLauncher2.apk and you will see a box pop up. Scroll down and select permissions. Now make the box look just like the screenshot below.
Ok so now that we have done place the libdrawglfunction.so file from the zip in the /system/lib/ folder and do the same as before, but with the libdrawglfunction.so file.

Then reboot and you will get the option to use TouchWiz Home as your default launcher. I recommend you use it as default.

If you need any help just let me know in the comments section below.

I will be also porting this to other TracFone Androids with 512 MB of RAM or less. This is because if it's optimized right the TouchWiz Home can be very fast.

Enjoy TouchWiz!

LG Ultimate 2 / CM12 Development Progress
« on: June 30, 2015, 10:06:14 pm »
Ok, so a lot of people have asked me about CyanogenMod 12 for the LG Ultimate 2. I will explain it all to you.

UPDATE 12:
Project put on hold. Due to multiple unsolvable issues, It's not done for, rather just put off. If anyone is interested in picking it up please PM me.

UPDATE 11:
Success! I got CM12.1 booting (kinda) on the L41C! All that hard work and time payed off! To bad I can't use it because of my screen. Here is the link to the thread where you can try it yourself: http://tracfonedevs.createaforum.com/lg-ultimate-2/unofficial-cm12-1-for-the-lg-ultimate-2/

UPDATE 10:
I am gonna try to compile a few builds and see how it goes, I just **** my LG L41C and most of the screen is messed up except for a little bit on the top. The whole touchscreen still works, but its black.

UUPDATE 9:
I am downloading the source code for CM12.1. It is like 12 GB and my internet is slow.

UPDATE 8:
I decided that CM12.1 would be easier since there is more content on it. I setup a new PC just for development and I am gonna try CM12.1.

UPDATE 7:
I am gonna try to port the new CM13 by hand. AOKP KitKat will be released very soon.

UPDATE 6:
I have decided to cancel the source download and try to build a kernel first. And its not worth downloading lollipop source when Marshmallow in not far away.

UPDATE 5:
Source code is being downloaded so Lollipop will be seen in the close future.

UPDATE 4:
A laptop has been bought just for development so in the future we will be able to build Lollipop for the L41C.

UPDATE 3:
MiUI has been updated and a list of bugs have been fixed. CyanogenMod is still in the works but is not more than 5 months away. The calling and SMS still  need to be fixed in MiUI and CM.

UPDATE 2:
Wi-Fi has been fixed for CM11 and a update for MiUI with working Wi-Fi should be released soon. The Internal storage has also been fixed allowing more stuff to work and less force closes.

UPDATE:
We have got CM11 to boot with a working touchscreen. But basically everything else does not work. CM12 goes only to the CM logo and hangs there so that might be a little while.

Original Post:
edodson84 has got CM11 booting, but no touchscreen inputs are registered in the phone. That is the same for every other ROM ported from the LG L70. There is a boot.img that has a working touchscreen, but you can't see the screen.

If you have any questions please drop a comment here. Thanks for understanding.

LG Optimus Dynamic / [ROM] LG Optimus Dynamic Stock ROM
« on: June 26, 2015, 07:34:00 pm »
I had some extra time today so I asked my friend to give me a stock ROM backup from his phone so I could make a stock ROM out of it. As I looked inside of the backup I noticed it was odexed. I thought it might help out users that need to go back to FULL stock and developers that need a base for their ROM.

Download

And of course I will make build of Chiliocosm for this. And then you can be sure I will make it look like stock Android and stuff like that.

LG Ultimate 2 / [ROM] [4.4.2] LG G3 ROM for the LG Ultimate 2
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:09:59 pm »
We have reached 4000+ total downloads making this the #1 most downloaded ROM for the LG Ultimate 2! Development will be continuing after a year of nothing, expect a new version sometime in 2017!

This is a ROM for the LG Ultimate 2 based off of the stock ROM, but with a ported LG G3 interface and apps, therefore massively modernizing and improving the experience. Please be sure to read everything below so you don't make any mistakes. Also before you do anything, you need a recovery to install the ROM. Any of the recoveries on TracFone Developers will work. Also I recommend you do a full wipe before flashing this ROM. You don't have to, but it's a good idea if you previously had a heavily modified stock or a different ROM. If you had a complete stock install, you just need to wipe the cache before installing the ROM for it to boot correctly.

How to install using TWRP:
1. Download G3-ROM-Port-2.3.zip to your phone.
2. Boot into recovery from flashify by selecting the "Reboot into recovery" option from the menu.
3. In TWRP select "Backup"
4. Now select the "Storage" option and tap on MicroSD
5. Next name the backup something then press backup. And it will backup everything on your phone.
5. Once it's done press the home key and then select the "Install" option from the menu.
6. Find the zip and uncheck anything about erasing the ROM
7. After its done installing press "Wipe Cache" and then press reboot.
8. Tell me what you like or dislike about this ROM in the comments.

When you open settings for the first time you will look around and notice that when you press specific options settings will crash. Press the menu button and tap the list view option. I tired of getting replies that say the settings doesn't work right.

Other stuff:
So in this ROM I have included a app that will let you know if I release a new version of this ROM. You will get a notification that will tell you you have a message from Software Updates. Tap on that and you will be all set. You can also check manually for updates from the G3 ROM Updates app on your homescreen. When you update to a newer version of my ROM, you will need to clear the data for "G3 ROM Updates" in the application manager. If you don't, you will get updates for your last installed version of my ROM.

Credits:
And make sure to thank the @SuperR on androidforums.com for the updater-script. Without him my ROM would not be here. The updater-script is the most important part of a ROM. It allows the ROM to boot. Also please thank @edodson84 for helping me with the lge-res.apk.

If you have any feedback or recommendations, tell me by leaving a comment below. I greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

TracFone Discussion / What is TracFone Developers?
« on: June 22, 2015, 11:14:10 am »
What is it all about?
TracFone developers is a site that users of TracFone Androids that love to make ROMs and root phones can come together and do awesome stuff. Its like XDA Developers, but for TracFones. You can basically post your ROMs for TracFones and you can also post Recoveries. If help is needed help can be given. I am sure this could really make a change in our ways to get TracFones the support they need. Right now there is scattered development on XDA, AndroidForums, Android Central and a few more sites. Since Android Area 51 is prepaid phones in general I decided that we need a forum for just TracFones. There is really no other place with lots of developers for TracFones. I have a good number of TracFones and I am sure there will be a large number of ROMs and Recoveries coming for these things. Feel free to ask questions and post stuff here. And I will NEVER ban you if you have a ROM or recovery posted here.

What can we post?
You can post questions, ROMs, Recoveries and ways to root the specific Tracfone. Make sure you include the name of the TracFone you are posting about. I will add forums for all of the Android TracFones. And please ALWAYS test a root, ROM, recovery, hack, mod etc. before you post. If it's not tested please clearly state that it is untested and could brick a phone.

What are the rules?
I have to easy rules: Be respectful and be helpful. If you follow these rules I will be really happy and it will make the world a better place. If you do something bad I will tell you what you did that was bad and then I will let you continue your life. If you repeat it I will ban you. If you send a rude PM to a Admin or staff that will be an immediate ban. But I will NEVER ban forever you not unless you are really really bad.

Now what?
Introduce yourself and sign up!
