Hi there!
1. I really like this ROM and think it's modern and stylish. 2. I know it's been a while since the last post here, development is largely done.
But I've been having a problem and I'm wondering if any of you have an insight. It's trouble with the Google Keyboard and the Google Play Services apps. I flashed the ROM on and it was smooth sailing, until google bullied me into updating Google Play Services. Almost instantly I started getting continuous crash dialogs (Unfortunately, Google Keyboarded has stopped) over and over, to a point where I can barely do anything. I uninstalled the google play update, and all was well again.
I've tried everything I can think of to get these apps to play nice. Cleared keyboard's cache, cleared its data, restarted the phone, cleared the phone's cache, updated the Google Keyboard app to 5.1.23.127065177 (current), restarted into safe mode. But every time I re-update google play services, it all starts up again. I can't get the OS to stop using the keyboard. I'm not sure how to uninstall it, or if that's even the underlying problem.
Any insights would be helpful.
The google keyboard in this rom is a modded one to fix ur issue install a diff keyboard from play store and use it then allow updates Sent from my SM-S920L using Tapatalk

DISCLAIMER: By using this recovery, you agree that you are the only one responsible for anything good or bad that may occur. Use at your own risk.
Bugs:- Rebooting to recovery by anything but key combo will cause a recovery boot loop this is fixed by flashing ur backup stock recovery image and selecting reboot system... I am looking into this issue
- Brightness doest work
- Time and date are wrong
TWRP version 3.0.2.0 Install IMG with flashify:- Make sure your phone is rooted.
- Download twrp-3.0.2.0-gprimetrfvzw.img
- Install and run Flashify.
- Make sure you hit “Allow” when Superuser request window pops up when opening the Flashify app.
- Choose “Recovery image” for recovery images.
- Choose the file you want to install by selecting “Choose a file”.
- Choose one of your file explorer apps. If you don’t see any, download and install ES File Explorer
- Browse your storage and choose the IMG file you downloaded earlier.
- Choose “Yup”.
- Enjoy!

Two things: I flashed this ROM and noticed that, while it was writing, it skipped the md5, stating that none was detected. There was a moment of regret, but then when I rebooted, everything looked great. When I attempted to enter the passcode for my wifi, however, I could not get the keyboard to show up on the screen. I messed with it for a while but couldn't get anywhere with it, so I went into recovery and reverted to my G3 build.
Did I do something wrong, or is this thing bugged?
You guys are blazing a trail I know nothing about, but I am following, reading all I can, trying to get up to snuff in the android world. As I may have stated on another forum, I'm in music professionally, but I take all of my amp, footpedals and guitars apart to mod them as well, just so ya'll know where I'm coming from.
Thanks fellas.
As ryan stated u need to select the google keyboard as the stock lg one was hard coded to b default... The no md5 is normal as i didnt include one Sent from my LG-H345 using Tapatalk

Thanks for the info
Any idea on how much resourses(disk space, mem) is saved with all these deletes? Does it seem leaner/snappier?
Do you have a twrp backup you'd be willing to share?
Y not make ur own backup? Sent from my LG-H345 using Tapatalk

I believe my phone shows the error "Secure Booting Error 1003" because I tried installing TWRP Recovery.
Exactly the twrp for leon in theory should work... I have possible solution for someone to try if they dont mind possibly bricking their device

Thanks for the Rom, been using it a few days as my daily driver and everything works.
I may be missing it, but is there an email app included? I liked the app that comes on the U2 - would that one work with this rom if backed up with data and settings?
Edit: I deleted the Gmail setup that was one one of the home screens. If this is the email app, can it be used with my ISP email and how do I get it back?
Edit # 2: Never mind - transferred and installed the LGEmail.apk from the U2.
Gmail works with all emails except exchange type Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

Thank you for your post on rooting the LG Sunset. I'm kinda a nooby when it comes to working with phones, but I have an android tablet, so I'm familiar with the OS.
My question is, How do you install recovery (either TWRP or CWM) and then boot to recovery.
Thanks.
I recently got this device and am currently looking into recovery... We have a locked bootloader so its gonna take time to even c if we can unlock it or modify bump for the new keys Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
