Greetings everyone and happy holidays
I am hoping for some helpful advice in reference to my bricked Ultimate 2.
I will try to recollect the phones history, but if you dont have time to read that feel free to skip to the end to get the just of the matter.
So about a year ago my LG Ultimate 2 starting acting messed up.
Would randomly turn off. then it started to bootloop.
When it started to bootloop I did a factory reset, wiped everything, went through and set a password. it worked fine for a week or so.
THEN I dropped it, after dropping it, it truly bricked it.
Although that didnt discourage me, for some reason I knew the phone should still be working.
After taking it apart multiple times, I managed to re-flow the SMD circuit in a special way. After flowing the board, life returned to it!
Although, after getting the power button to turn the screen/home LED on reliably, the screen read "Security boot error" and repeatedly tried to boot to the error.
I found rccunninghams recovery tool, tried to use that, but I never could get it to work. probably because I cant actually go into my phones menu.
A few times I got it to boot without the error, but the tracfone boot image would just start flashing randomly while trying to boot.
I left it like that, plugged into the computer, hoping it would make it through the tracfone boot image/show up in devices in recoverytool if I was patient.
I came back and the phone was a brick again, nothing from power button. but the computer recognizes it. as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"
From the information Ive found, I need a .KDZ or .TOT?
or is there a way to flash an .img using a tool on computer without any app on phone? (fwiw iirc I had turned fastboot on in phone before the booterror)
I got to where It seemed like boarddiag would work, but boarddiag asks for a "partition.txt" and the boarddiag I downloaded only came with a support folder for a different phone (G2).
So it seems like if I am going to use boarddiag, I need a folder of files in relation to my phone.
anyway, any guidance is appreciated. thanks in advance.
