Thank You , i did not use the most recent version.

I have now downloaded version 4.6 and it worked !!

do you know if there are free unlock codes available for this phone somewhere ?

Mine is a straighttalk phone and they will not provide unlock code because i have not had 12 months phone service using this phone on straighttalk. 

I have also checked a couple of the online places for paid unlock codes and they do not have the codes for this phone.

Hi,
Black friday i purchased a Straighttalk  LG sunset L33L.
I have tried rooting it by your procedure above.

I start the app, then it recognizes my phone model and displays in the middle of the screen. In a few seconds the screen displays "Root access is unavailable no strategy now"

Can this phone be rooted ? if not i need to return it by friday 12/11.
